Books for Baby K

They say that baby boy can hear us talking now and that talking or reading to him is a perfect way to begin our relationship with our little one. I LOVE children's books and can't wait to start baby boy's collection and to start reading to him.

Some of my favorite books from when I was a kid include 'A Star in the Pasture,' Love You  Forever,' 'Goodnight Moon,' and 'Where the Sidewalk Ends.' My favorite of them all is still "A Star in the Pasture.' This is a story of a little star on a big mission who falls from the sky and is cared for by a lowly shepherd, Sebastien and his pet lamb, Hopscotch (don't you just love that name?) The end of the story is very sweet when the problem is solved and we discover the star's important mission for the first Christmas! How perfect is it that this is my favorite books and ties right into Christmas and baby boy's due date?
Some of my other favorites that I would like to get for baby boy include:

Where the Wild Things Are
All of the Dr. Seuss books
Polar Express
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The Clifford books

I found out there is a sequel to A Star in the Pasture which tells of the story of Easter with Sebastien and Hopscotch in the Golden Easter Egg. I'm going to have to get this book as I'm slightly obsessed with the illustration in A Star in the Pasture. I know that I am missing lots of other great children's books. I will have to add to the list as I go along. If you have any of your favorite books that you would like to share with me and baby boy we would love that :)

I had to buy a chair that was big enough for all three of us (mommy, baby and Leo) because I know that Leo will be getting up with me all hours of the night to take care of his baby brother. I love this doggy so much!!

On Tuesday we had our 20 week anatomy scan. We go back on Thursday to meet with the Dr. to review over everything and make sure everything is good. Our little peanut sure loves to wiggle and kick. The Ultrasound Tech kept laughing at how wiggly he was. Technology amazes me and I'm in love with the 3D image of his little face! I just can't wait to meet him and snuggle my little bun! Here are some images from our anatomy scan ultrasound.
3D Image of his cute little face
Profile Picture - his little hands were playing with the umbilical cord

His leg all stretched out - this is rare, as he is always sitting on them :) Just like his momma!!
I saw this picture today and had to post it! One because I love Christmas and the movie Elf and two, because this really puts into perspective how soon my little one will be here!! This is going to be the best Christmas ever! Can't wait!! There are actually only 19 Fridays left until Christmas!!!

Leo wanted to get in the picture this week! He kept pacing by my feet while Kevin was taking my picture. He loves pictures!! We started decorating the nursery and Leo is so confused. I think he thinks that it's going to be his room. Funny dog! We bought a rocker from RC Willey and every time I go in the nursery he runs and jumps up on the rocker and lays down. That's his spot :) I got an over sized rocker because I know when babe is here and I'm getting woken up every hour at night Leo will want to be right there with me. So I got a rocker big enough for all three of us :) :) :) Leo and babe are going to be the best of buds!
